Is This the Next Big Site on the Internet?

I thought I should reflect over something that can be “the next big thing” on the Internet. I’m not talking about some lame new “get rich quick” opportunity but about something that could be a major player on the Internet for a lot of people in the (near?) future. The site I refer to is Leapfish. I have done some research on that site, and they have some really cool features. If you are the kind of person that likes to do your home work when you research a topic, you probably search at a few engines out there: Google, Yahoo, MSN, Bing etc. Then you also know that they all have different algorithms to index your search. With other words, what’s on Google’s page one isn’t necessary on Yahoo’s page one and so forth. So the first thing that I really like about Leapfish is that they pull out just as fast as any other search engine the results for your search for Google, Yahoo! and Bing in one spot, and it’s easy to. If that not all, they also have a more advance search search option that not just pull up the sites related with the best pr, quality score etc, but they pull out the most resent stuff related to your search.
They are up to date on world news by Yahoo, Celebrity news from US, Sports news from Yahoo, Mashable for the social media news and action. And last they have most popular videos related to your search, you just take your mouse over the video and it start plying right away there and then. Normally it will take you to you tube or where ever the video source are, and here you will find the most popular video related to your search.
How ever, the thing that really got my attention was the possibility to share everything in any category with the top ten social networks out there today. When you take your mouse over any news article or what ever you will see a “share” button. The ten sites are: twitter, Facebook, Digg, Mixx, StumbleUpon, Reddit Technorati, Delicious, Yahoo Buzz, and Kaboodie. So what ever you search fro you can share it to all your friends, followers, leads etc, you do the math.
Conclusion: This is a pretty good site, easy to navigate and a lot of good quality content. But the reason why I started this post with this could be “the next big thing” is because of what I found when I saw what the have accomplished in less than 18 months. As you can see for the picture on this post this site is no ranked global around 10 00 for the 3 months, ranks around 7000 yesterday March 4 2010. And the ranking is the US is around 2000. As you can see from this stats, this site is moving very fast, and I will keep a close look at this site in the near future. PS! They grew about the same in less that 18 months than Google did in 4 years.

The speed is still an issue. It’s many features and programming have created a long time reputation for Internet Explorer. Both downloading and running this program has been known to be more complicated and take longer. Furthermore, since Internet Explorer is so tightly integrated to the Window’s operation system, many complicated problems can occur during an upgrade, even if the upgrade in uninstalled. IE has been known to cause computers to crash after upgrading to version 8.
As far as features are concerned, oddly, Microsoft has seemed to build a reputation to lag behind other browsers. Perhaps it is because they is too consumed with building patches for problems and security threats that come with each new version of Internet Explorer, and the Windows operating systems. Another reason could be that IE is used by the largest group of computer users, especially those who are not familiar with the computers, the Internet, and downloads. These people use Internet Explorer either because it the easiest option (any others would require a download), or they don’t know about the others.
For whatever reason, IE was the last version to adopt tabbed browsing, and still does not have some very basic features available on most other browsers. For example, It does not allow tabs to be moved into a separate window, and windows to become tabs of other windows. It also does not offer to remember passwords on every log in page. IE8 is much better than previous versions, so Microsoft may be breaking their tradition of being behind soon.

Computer Running Slow? Take The Computer Performance Test
My wife has always said that I am impatient person however when I could make my morning coffee in the time it took my ancient Toshiba laptop to fire up I thought there had to be a problem or two. Sure the laptop is far from cutting edge technology but I do remember a day when it performed quite well and I have been reluctant to upgrade it because of the hope that one day it will be returned to it’s former glory.

All of these errors where found after running a free registry scan and I am happy to report that even though my coffee making is not that slow the computer now beats me every morning without fail.
So where do these registry errors come from? I can only surmise that as the trusty laptop is used for mainly internet related chores that the majority of the errors came about from downloading programs and on occasion removing programs. I am also informed that registry errors can be the result of poorly written programs, they can also be deliberately written into programs by lovely people trying to ruin your day and also that removing programs by the conventional methods can leave files behind that are now defunct and can cause issues in the registry.
After running the scan I decided that something definitely needed to be done and I let the registry repair program do it’s magic and as I said things have improved out of sight. If you feel that your computer system is not it’s usual self and perhaps it is suffering from unexplained crashes or you are getting error messages more often than you get email I suggest you take a look at the program that I used to turn an old ailing laptop into a turbo charged pocket rocket! I am sure you will be surprised with the results.

Internet “gripe” sites have become very popular over the last three or four years, and they have taken many different forms. Some of these sites have offered students an opportunity to share random thoughts. Others have turned into a bashing forum for people to light into other people. Others still allow consumers to gripe about different businesses. Though it turns out these sites are completely legal, there are some reasons to take pause if you are posting on them. The law provides certain protections for the owners of these sites, but those protections are not ironclad. This is especially true in the changing world where internet laws are under siege.

Unneeded toolbars
Extra toolbars can be the main reason for Explorer 8 slow problem. Remove any unneeded toolbar in order to make it easier for IE to load and run.
Registry Problems
The registry is the place Windows saves data that is vital for it to function properly. If the registry contains errors and invalid entries, it can cause lots of problems to Windows and to all of the applications that are installed on it.
